  • Step-by-Step Process

To start your digital marketing blog, follow these steps — just like I did myself:

1. Choose Your Niche

Pick which field exactly in digital marketing you want to write about, like:

  • SEO
  • Social media marketing
  • Email marketing
  • PPC advertising
  • Content marketing
  • AI in marketing
2. Pick a Blogging Platform

Like me, I use Blogger. But you can also use:

  • WordPress (more customizable)
  • Medium (built-in audience)
  • Substack (great for newsletters)

3. Choose a Name for Your Blog

Make it professional, easy to remember, and related to your niche.

4. Set Up Basic Pages

Every blog needs:

  • About page — tell your story
  • Contact page — so people can reach you
  • Privacy Policy — required by law

5. Create Social Media Accounts

Share your content on platforms like:

  • LinkedIn
  • Twitter / X
  • Instagram

This helps people find you outside search engines too.

How Can a Digital Marketing Blog Make Money?

I know a lot of beginners care about earning an income from blogging — which is good, whether as a side hustle or even a main income. And you can do it, just like other bloggers do. According to Gitnux:

"Data shows that 67% of bloggers monetize their blogs using multiple revenue streams such as ads, affiliate marketing, sponsorships, and digital products."

This shows that you can also make an income from blogging. Therefore, I'm going to share with you some blogging income methods:

Ways to Make Money from Your Blog

  • 1. Affiliate Marketing

You can use this method without having big numbers of followers. Just recommend products and include your affiliate links.

  • 2. Digital Products

This is one of the best methods. Build a high-quality digital product (ebook, course, template) and sell and resell it.

  • 3. Freelance Services

If you're good at SEO, content writing, or social media, you can offer your services to your audience.

  • 4. Display Ads

This works best after your traffic grows. Platforms like Google AdSense or Mediavine pay for ad views.

How Long Does It Take?

To get a stable income, you'll need at least 3 to 6 months minimum. But remember:

Consistency is the key. Don't focus on money too much at the beginning. Focus on building trust and creating high-value content.

My Honest Experience So Far

I wanted to write this article especially for beginners who are still hesitating to start a blog — to encourage them to start and give it a try, and to tell them it's not hard or difficult. As you can see, I did it, so you can too.

From my humble experience as a digital marketing blogger, I started writing articles more than 4 months ago. I started in this niche not just because I was majoring in it (and still am) — in fact, I wanted to learn, explain, and help others understand complicated digital marketing terms and elements as a beginner, just like me.

To start, I didn't need a budget or to be an expert. I wanted to learn and teach others what I learned in the simplest way — like your friend. I started only with a platform (Blogger) and used only free tools to find images, keywords, and track performance — as a beginner.

This isn't a success story — in fact, this is just the beginning of my journey. However, I feel relieved and happy that beginners like you can see my work and learn from it. And honestly, that is a success for me.

Conclusion

If you're interested but still hesitating to start a digital marketing blog, you need to know how to start a digital marketing blog in 2026 — because you'll find out that you don't need expensive tools or 20 years of experience. You just need the motivation to learn and work your way out.

Besides that, blogging is a great source of income — you just need to be patient, because this is a long-term process.
